Saturday 8th July saw music centre groups return to the Oak House for the annual Summer Festival. The day started around 9:00 when music staff arrived to setup the grounds ready for the performances. ‘What will the weather do?’ was a hot topic but spirits remained high in anticipation of the performances.
By 10:00 the scene was set and performers and their families started to arrive. Performances began at 10:30 but within an hour British weather was at it’s best with a little precipitation. This didn’t dampen spirits of any performers, tucked under the gazebo keeping dry. Families and friends in the audience came prepared for all weather with garden chairs, picnic blankets, sun hats and brollies!
Throughout the day all musicians excelled, well done to all!
